Going forward- Artists to look at:

Jane Alexander, Sandy Skoglund, Kaarina Kaikkonen ( I almost want to say you HAVE to present on her), Christian Botanski.


Once I see your materialistic idea I can offer more artists, but for now..

For Mondays' class: Pick at least one of these installation artists ( can be more than one if you desire) to share with the class. You should be able to speak 5-10 minutes.  Look in the Library (Coe library) to see what books/articles are available on your chosen person so you are not only looking online.  How can you take what they do and allow it to inspire your Materialistic installation?
  • Where are they from
  • What are the ideas they are pursuing?
  • materials?
  • intriguing aspects of their work that you can be inspired by?
Begin to blog about your ideas for Project #2.

These images of your small world are good. Would like to see more.  How can you utilize your photo experience in this endeavor?
